It is commercial, but I don't see anything particularly bad about that. This entire season is looking like it's going to be a very commercial season, clearly the brands need to ensure they make the money this season. It's just the way it works when the economical climate shifts.

I don't mind it as a collection, it's not their best of course, but it is what it is. It's pretty solid and nice, filled with pieces that can easily make their way into customer's wardrobes I'm sure. It's also a nice little expression of them working on their tailoring to me. I don't enjoy the leather pieces all that much however.

There are some really beautiful pieces here , though are we all not over shearling! Their S/S collection blew my mind but this is still beautiful. Love the models hair.

I agree it's more wearable/ commercial, but I don't find that to be bad either.
I guess I'm one of the few that wasn't that into the whole van Gogh last season, thinking it was a bit too much and not thought very well, so to see something that is still very rodarte but more tamed and wearable is nice. I'm sure we'll see this collection all over fall editorials in the next months.

The craftsmanship is enviable, the materials and prints are admirable too, but like everyone I'm tiring of this dated sexless feminine vibe from them. I said it last season, and I'll say it again this season, take it back to the dark side girls!

When I saw "Rodarte" on the thread I was really exited to see what they did...but I'm really disappointed right now. I used to love their drawpings and silk fabrics. Now, I wouldn't recognize this collection as Rodarte's.

the 4 looks of the first post were totally underwhelming, what came after was better though..
i liked the Burberry-ish coats but didn't like at all most of the dresses.. the leather ones, printed ones, ruffled ones were all kinda hideous
the only ones i find interesting are the 2 handprint dresses and 3 single color dresses with great textured patterns(embossed?) that i could only see in HQ
and also the shoes are really cool!

Well, I don`t hate it but the collection lacks a clear concept. This could totally be the latest Zara or Topshop. :/

They've been stuck on the prairie in what feels like forever. Sure it's still pretty but it's so redundant.
