They are certainly going for Baroque here. Its more is more. And the stylist just makes it more maximal.

I agree it needs some more editing. They shudnt have added the chains whatsoever.

But I see Mulleavy, more than Cristóbal or Jack or Lázaro or Nicolas.

At the end of the day, the big question is "Do you want it?"

My answer is YES

I'll have to look at this a few more times to make up my mind about what I think of this as a whole but I certainly don't dislike it as much as most others here. Some of the shoes look awesome!
Agreed. Its hard to process what's actually happening, or what they *want* to be happening in the collection--its all over the place. It feels as though they're *trying* to be groundbreaking and quirky and edgy... but it just feels unauthentic.

that's what I feel about their design. at the very first gaze it's cool, but after about three or four approaches you'll define it as terrible. I'm always undecided which side their clothes are in, pretty or fugly? at the end, even the wow factor dresses( the Earth collection or the sleepwalking collection) I still tagged them fugly. it's just they try to play it coherent, so you kinda get into the mood, not finding how horrendous their clothes are that soon. always weird color palette, even the silhouette seems descent.

I totally agree, for a moment I thought it was Proenza Schouler.

There are a few pieces that are quite lovely but overall this is a major miss for you. I'm disappointed. Those shoes are gaudy. I also don't see the theme of the collection. I need the reviews.

the gowns are amazing imo. I think the details are very Rodarte, but the styling and the silhouettes do seem very Balenciaga. There is alot going on, but I do see the anime warrior princess which might be why i like it

Eugh...I feel it messy. The hair style tried to be half girl and half boy but it just turned to be flat and awkward.

The last few season have been a mess. I don't think they have a brand identity or some real framework of who Rodarte are...and yes it looks like a sloppy imitation of Balenciaga...this could be any wannabe designer collection...

The highlight of the collection for me was the earrings...

the collection has Balenciaga written all over it and that's is not good considering the great shows they used to deliver
