Thanks so much. Do you know where they are located in the store... what should I ask for when I call?

Umm...at Barneys in Beverly Hills they WERE (I did not see them this weekend when I went, must have sold out - they had a really small selection though) located by Missoni, Givenchy, Lucien-Pellat Finet (2nd floor) and in Maxfield they are located by the big case of vintage Hermes stuff on the opposite side of the cash register...sorry thats the best I can say about where it is in Maxfield because if you have been in there you would know that is it not really organized by type or any thing. When you call (I assume you will call Barneys) just ask for the floor that The Row is on. Good luck!

I bought a tank dress from them to wear under sheer dresses and honestly I have to say the quality isnt great. The little chain on the inside ripped and a seem is coming apart. Where they have it is the fit which is great and the fabric isnt bad.

I still want at least one I think. I know what its like with delicate fabrics... not that The Row compares to C&C lol but the C&C fabric is thin & gets holes & things really easy. So Im sure if its really thin fabric even if its better quality it could have the same problem. I really love the fit though... seeing them on MK & Ash.

You're forgetting something. They aren't working alone on this. They are working with a friend who has studied fashion for some number of years also.
who is this friend ??...DOnna Karan ??

I don't know...I just think it's a really childish attitude to point at somebody and say "They haven't done 6 years at fashion school and 6 years interning OH! and they're already famous how dare they say the sacred word 'Design'?"
i am only saying lets call a spade a spade ..if you designed the collection then youre a designer ....ie conceptualised it and cut it etc....if you put it together ..you are probably a stylist .......thats all....

sweetie .chilll....if i could buy you the fur rug as on the bed in the ad i would

That sounds like damage and not quality issues..if I buy a macbook and a key is ripped off it doesn't mean that the macbook is a bad product. It's a shame that that happened though.

well, it's not really the same, and yes, I do expect for things to last when I buy designer(s)... if any button falls off or anything.. that is a BIG NO NO for me.

Well most of the Apple products are functionally bad but well excuted in design terms...the amont of ipods I have had in repair! Sorry going off topic...

But yeah it's a shame if you pay a lot of money and the quailty is bad or extremely fragile...I still would like to buy one of their peices though...

I think the quality really differs between the silk/modal and cotton/polyester product lines. The tees that look more "burnout" are the cotton/polyester blends and my friend had issues similar to GuessGirl with those, but has had no issues with her silk/modall (the cleaner, even sheerer fabric) tees.
