^ The ads look amazing. Thanks for posting them.

I hope the collection looks just as lovely in person!

These are very promising. Very whimsical, too.

I cannot blame Vera for wanting to be more of a household name and be a part of the "high fashion for the masses" movement that is so popular right now, but Kohls? Why not Macy's or Target?

From what I see here though, it looks very promising.

That's what I was thinking! But maybe... maybe... she doesn't want her clothes to hang next to clothes "designed" by the likes of J.Lo, Kimora Lee, etc, etc.

well- for one...the target stuff is 'younger' designers and just capsule collections...
whereas the thing she is doing with Kohl's is a longterm arrangement...

macy's?...
that's generally a higher pricepoint...and i don't know if they are doing so well financially...

plus- i am sure that kohl's approached her...and not the other way around...
apparently it was a very good deal from a financial perspective...
if you read the articles that have been posted in this thread you can clearly see why it is an appealing deal for ms wang...

i can't wait to get some of those winter hats!
and i cant wait to see the 8 page ad in the new september magazines.

i think the quality of this will be better than the capsule collections for target. and it is a much higher price point. i have high hopes for it.

Kohls is just so random to me. The last thing I think when I think Kohls is clothes, let alone something that is actually fashionable. I understand why Vera would do it, but in the end I think it would be more beneficial for Kohls.

But yeah you're right and I read more on it after I commented.

not sure if this was mentioned yet, but the new teen vogue with anne hathaway on the cover has a feature with vera wang's daughters wearing pieces from the simply vera line...

The prices aren't as low as I expected. I certainly wouldn't pay $70 for a skirt.

In any case, seeing a designer as prominent as Vera create cheaper alternatives is a refreshing move, even if the clothes in question aren't as cheap as some would like.
