from the uo website

UO has partnered with some of our favorite independent designers to create an ongoing series of collections available only at Urban Outfitters, including Cool, Casual, by Slow and Steady Wins the Race.
the wording makes it seem like they'll work with each designer only once. hopefully sswtc's is successful and they continue the partnership for a while (or a least until they do some menswear!!).

it's not the actual collection but a spin-off edition for UO. i would suggest buying from the real line which you can from the web site. and that one has men's and unisex pieces.

i bought them directly from the sswtr web site. this was when i thought there were only 100 of them made, so i pounced on them quick. i bought from there because shipping was cheapest ($5). it turns out they were actually backordered when i put in the order, but they were pretty good about keeping me updated. i got the shoes maybe 2 or 3 weeks later.

quality-wise, i think they're fine for the price. the bottoms are smooth rubber-like, so there's no traction, although i've never had a slippage problem. wedge-height is really comfortable. also, one thing to note--the ankle strap is sort of one-size-fits-all (no holes to adjust)--there's a bit of hidden elastic there so you stretch the strap to get your feet in. it's definitely loose around the ankles for me, and when i walk, my feet sort of lift up from the shoes a bit. this also makes my feet slide forward when i walk. however, for me it's not a huge deal since i just really like the simple design of the shoes.
hey! thanks for the pics! Can you tell me about the sizing of the wedge shoe? I'm a bit worried about getting the wrong size as you say, the ankle strap isn't adjustable.

i think the sizing comes in whole sizes only, and if you're in between sizes i would probably size down since the strap is so loose.

on another note, i actually wore them out last week and the canvas is really rough against your feet! the bottoms of my feet got kind of scraped up. i need to find some sort of pad to stick on the shoe so this doesn't happen again.

Thanks for the review.
However, I think I'm a little hesitant about buying them now! cheers
