there were a few pieces here that i could actually see myself wearing, but i can't help but think that a lot of this is terribly unflattering and maybe a bit frumpy.

chrissy i was searching for this everywhere and yet was here already! i must have overlooked in the collection frenzy

this actually marks her return to her own line since autumn 2010 which is welcomed news. in the same presentation she also debuted her first diffusion line in conjunction with Asos called KORE.

as for the collection,it isn't spectacular but it's wonderful seeing her kind of return to her roots(perhaps even her archives in the case that particular black dress with all the webbing) a bit with something a bit more hand-crafted.

I'm shocked, but not in a good way, unfortunately.

Much of the draping looks very poorly made. As if I had made it in my sewing class

I'm glad to see Sophia is back with her line but I can't say I'm a big fan of the collection itself. It looks unflattering and a little bit amateur-ish.

Identical sentiments. I adore Sophia but this feels very weak.
The drape is more 'strange' than 'interesting'.

definitely... i feel like her clothes used to be beautifully made and now a lot of these pieces look like she didn't have enough time to really fit them correctly

indeed she's still at it at diesel black gold. she definitely has a lot going at the moment. that might be why this collection perhaps is not as strong as we would expect from sophia. of course not surprised she has a lot going.....i remember she was working on the olympic costumes as well as bjork's billowing gown in the midst of having to design a seasonal collection or when she was working simultaneously on vionnet as well as her signature for those couple seasons.

but i don't mind the one-off quality of this. in fact i quite appreciate one-offs.
