Seeing Stella McCartney strike out on her own, you realize who is the true talent while she and Phoebe were at Chloe.

The prints could have been interesting if they were juxtaposed with unusual silhouettes and tailoring and were used as a thesis on what constitutes sophistication instead of being used as a mindless affectation.

I'd take intelligence over stupidity any day of the week. Lord knows the fashion industry has enough stupid, vapid people to set back human progress a century or two.

I wonder why there is this anti-intellectual, anti-academic attitude not just here but in the media and everywhere else. Have we entered the era of the idiot? Or are people just too lazy to improve themselves in this culture of convenience and instant gratification?

Give me intellectual and aesthesized over dumbed-down fashion BS. At least I'm safe in the knowledge that people are still using their brains.

By the way, there is no better paragon of intellectual fashion than Helmut Newton, a true aesthete. Just wanted to mention the irony

this is really bad, you know you're in trouble when your models don't even look good in the clothes.

"A Nap in the Garden"

Can you even find a more suitable name for the collection?
