Whatever...she probably just show her team a bunch of inspration pictures from other designers and go "ok so I want this skirt with that top and maybe throw in the coat from this picture with a bow like that of the other picture and add some print like this person...get it?" You see a buch of modified trends from the previous season in here...bubble skirts, loose tops, skinny pants/leggings, wide obi belts and bows
i must admit.. i don't like JLO and her line of clothing. but this season's collection is, by far, her best. i actually like some of the pieces. it is much much better than last season's. good for her.
Although I do not understand her direction or inspiration (though I can imagine her growth and ideas stem more from the high streets and fashion that she encounters in her travels), I can appreciate that Miss J.Lo is at least using these shows as a learning experience...
...and evolving the same way I would expect any 16 year old to (no offense to 16 year olds)...

I honestly can't think of a single adjective to describe these clothes, and apparently no one else can either. I read trashy as a descripton, which at this point is a compliment, at least it means something is being conveyed by the collection. I wouldn't say it's anything dreadful or incompetent, just amazingly banal and tame in it's ideas.
Professional review...that makes me laugh for some reason.

Agreed. However, I've gotta say it's better than some of the other stuff coming out of NYC.
I think if she weren't J-Lo there wouldn't be as many catty comments about this collection. I don't even like J-lo and I think it's actually quite good.
NEW YORK, únor 10, 2006 – "I've been working on a couple of period films, so I'm a fifties and sixties fanatic right now," said Jennifer Lopez of the influences behind her latest Sweetface collection. The multi-hyphenate star scaled way, way back from her MTV-ready runway debut of a year ago to present her new fall line in the comparably intimate confines of Industria Studios. The better to see how it's changed, she suggested in her opening remarks. Yes, there's still a heavy street influence—this came across most clearly in the models' inch-long pearly press-on nails—but the line is much more trend-friendly now. Volume, bows, waist-cinching belts—Sweetface has them all. The first two came together beautifully in a floppy navy trench that a few insiders may think looks Burberry-esque. With J. Lo's imprimatur, fashion outsiders—i.e. pretty much the entire population—will think it's the very definition of cool.
f*ck sweetface and f*ck jennifer lopez, this is exploitation of the whole concept of fashion, commercialisation for the purpose of capitalising on something which will make her revenue, i am very offended

I'd say it's one of the better collections this far from new york.. not the best but better than a lot of others
