Some of these gowns have a Gaultier or Lacroix flavor to them..

I love the second to last one you posted

I can sort of see the gaultier and lacriox refrenses, but I like her version much more

Personally i really really love the style and feeling of this collection, defiently one of the best of the season for me

Indeed-on everything you said.

Still,I think I like the last one better. There's something missing in this for some reason...not quite as esoteric as usual?

Yes,that could be true. Although, normally she does tend to combine the two..

Perhaps,I'm just a sucker for that heavier,stiffer tinge....maybe a bit moodier,more melancholy side.

Tess' collection has been added to her web site!

And I completely change my mind after seeing these breathtaking images too and the feature on her in Paper. What a beauty of a collection when you see it much more clearly. I think alot of my initial feelings was based upon the fact that it was totally monochrome in scheme and in those catwalk images it just didn't appear as cohesive as these do. Of course, catwalk images rarely capture feeling of the clothing that well in the first place.

Also,Haidée Findlay-Levin did the styling for her once again. Love her!

You're welcome,Softie

She is the best,if you ask me. Because looking at all her collections so far there's so much consistency and distinction in her work. And every one of them has been incredibly strong. Which is quite rare in NY,imo.

I think the reason for that too,is because there is something indefinitely authentic about her work.

There's an interesting feature on Tess in December's Vogue, btw. I guess,M-O-M,you were correct when you said that this Spring collection was the one for her. Success-wise and attention.

What's nice about the whole attention thing though,is that, like with many of the Belgian designers et al,I don't see it changing her personality at all. Her work process and her quiet persona just doesn't seem to have deterred or ever will.

i think tess's work is very personall, in the style as well as in the clothes them selves, the details liek the chrocheting and stiching.
