I loved all of the berry hued pieces however I do see a bit of Miu Miu with all of the ruched waists.

I've really fallen in love with Thakoon over the last few seasons. Love the color combinations here, finally a collection that doesn't look so dull as most I've seen so far at NYFW. Thakoon rocks and may very well be among my five favorite designers. Never boring to be sure!

I'm sorry but I still can't see the appeal
Matronly silhouettes... Padding on the hip (to emphasise an hour glass shape)... Taking inspiration from Amsterdam's red light district... Still way too much offensively gaudy colour (though it was turned down a bit from last season's calamity)... What on earth are those concertina waists about... Even Phelps @ Style.com thinks the models not flattered by the boxiness. Who could wish simultaneously to evoke conservatism and prostitution, appear bigger than they are, and announce all that in colour so garrish and vulgar that it hurts the eye. Is there some sort of contrarian thinking going on here? |
