I know it's for ET and not for Ftv, but all they have to talk it's about celebrities?

Who would watch ET if ET didn't talk about celebrities?

I'm really getting tired of him making endless long sleeve gowns.

He should stick to only dressing men, if you ask me. With the exception of the Oscar miracle that was Paltrow's dress, his stuff always looks incredibly dated.

^ Can you honestly say that his menswear aesthetic is any less dated than that of his women's? If anything I'd say it's much more so, since it sticks so closely to such a specific decade and look.

I would honestly have been very surprised if that dress wasn't worn by someone to the Met. That, the caped gown that Gwyneth wore to the Oscars and the croc gown that Rihanna wore were the three pieces that, to me at least, worked perfectly with the somewhat surrealist theme of the exhibit.

It is, but dated menswear is much more manageable than dated womenswear.

I guess it depends on who you ask, because frankly, the dated element of his womenswear is far less easy to pinpoint than that in his menswear. His menswear bears an actual resemblance to another period in time while his womenswear, to some anyway, just doesn't seem to be where fashion's at now. I don't think it looks all that retro, though.

I'm probably not explaining that as well as I could, but yeah...

Then again I'm probably not the right person to speak about it since I've usually rolled my eyes whenever people say how drastically fashion has changed since Tom Ford left all those years ago in...2004.

Ford's Move

TOM FORD has sold his home in London's Mayfair for an undisclosed sum.
Ford, who also owns properties in New York, Los Angeles and New Mexico but spends most of his time in London, bought the 8,222 square-foot Georgian townhouse in 2004 for £5.75 million. Three years ago, the Sunday Times reports, he placed it back on the market - presumably improved markedly by his taste and attention to design detail - for £45 million, but failed to find a buyer.
He has since been spotted house hunting in South Kensington meaning that, although he may be on the move, we're not set to lose one of our most famous designer residents.

i'm glad he puts his house on the market for seventy one million dollars when he barely paid eight million dollar?! but, if anyone can make that sale, tom ford could.

The current mens suiting to me looks dated , its the same 60s mod suit with skinny lapels and narrow trousers which has been the look for the past 6-7 years. To me it looks very sissy , I much prefer the Masculine and decadent Tom Ford man, with his double vented wide lapel blazers and roomy pants. It is a look somewhat influenced by the mid late 1970s but to me it evokes a modern masculinity and glamour, you don't find anywhere in men's fashion today.
