I was wondering when they were going to expand more...
I guess it means more emphasize on advertisement also? ![]()

the padova is amazing. It's around $20,000. I don't know if they will be making it in a more affordable leather.
I'm just really excited about the lanvin expansion. It's sooooo difficult to find Lanvin in the U.S. |

^ Yes, that's the most exciting bit, as far as I know the only major store that carries Lanvin is Barneys, then there are dozens of smaller scale boutiques of course, but I think a Lanvin boutique would be a perfect addition to the 5th Ave skyline.

this is what i deeply admire in alber that he's very much a genuine talent with immense integrity. and at the same time it's also something i respect about the company of lanvin. they are so different in their strategies. just in the way they were explaining their new ventures and the scheme of how they approach expanision....not merely hyping things up to make some kind of market ploy out of it all. they genuinely want a business with a soul rather than some money making machine. and they're actually being incredibly successful at their approach! bernard arnault and the rest of these egomanic conglomerates should learn a note or two.

I'm so glad menswear revenue is up, hopefully they'll continue to bring mens to the fore design-wise.

Hopefully this will make them consider lowering their prices. At the moment everything they sell is frightening expensive.

It's certainly good to hear that the house is doing well.
I greatly admire Alber and the vision he has given Lanvin, all of us in fashion understand what he and Lucas are doing at Lanvin but it's good to know it's paying off commercially as well. |

Wow I didn't realise they didn't have a store in NYC!
I agree with what others have said about Lanvin and Alber Elbaz - they seem to really nurture the brand and the designs without making it too inaccessible and avant garde but at the same time not undermining itself. I think it'll be very interesting to watch them expand and develop the brand in the next 5 years or so. I really admire Paul Deneve, Shaw-Lan Wang and Alber Elbaz for what they have done to Lanvin. |
