Not ugly, some are quite wearable, but Valentino is dead, not one vestige is seen in this collection. And like Chanel, the clothes don't suit the prices.

Finally, no ruffles! I even like some of the dresses.

Worst thing is, this would be a perfect, wonderful collection, in another context. But, as it's valentino, the collection is killed by the repetetiveness of it all.
Couldn't agree more.
I think that each season you can see, there's actually a lot of potential in their designs. But the problem is that they don't go for it completely. They present a couple of new pieces but the whole silhouette is almost every season the same. Each season, you've got the same lenght, the same color palette and always some embellishment. Its true that they do these things perfectly, and there's some really appealing look ( especially the final gowns and that fur coat ). Yet, now they shoudl've established a concrete aesthetic for the house. But IMO, each of their colections feels timid. As if they are afraid to try something else, 'cause these designs give them a lot of safety.

I'm not going to lie. This collection is stunning. However it's so predictable like there's no wow factor in it. And those shoes..it's sad that they were accessories designers before but they still keep design these kitten pumps. I just wish only they can bring the house back to life with dramas and glamour. Not have to be vivid but certainly the house now needs to light it up!

They've restrained the ruffles, and finally beaten me into submission with their fragile chiffon and lace creations, because some of those pieces aren't bad, although there's still something essential missing from the proportions, there's no magic, no expert touch.
