The back of that poison green gown is to die for!

It's probably my favorite piece in the entire collection.

I think Ms Faccinetti did a reasonable job, but her "haute couture" collection is nothing like the Valentino of old.

The simple difference is the "attention to detail".

Valentino Garavani was a total perfectionist and master craftsman. This always showed in the extraordinary quality of his work. His creations were flawless.

Alessandra Faccinetti may be a good ready-to-wear designer, but sadly she is no couturier.

My only problem with this is that it for the most part lacks the inherent drama of couture. Its all beautiful - I absolutely adore Alessandra's aesthetic and she's become one of my favorite designers, even back when she was at Gucci I loved her work but this just isn't as dramatic as I would have liked. There needs to be a wow factor with couture - at least for me. I feel as though this looks like souped up ready to wear - gorgeous and wearable but somehow lacking that extra epic feeling of couture.

This is her first showing though and as others have said she has enormous shoes to fill. I'm just excited for her future - she's so talented.

Me too!, I hope they will keep the camera´s sound on the official video, all the clicks, clicks, clash, clash that sound when each model enters the room, for me it has to do with that form of presentation, much more scaled down.
I am in love with Alessandra.

She is creating a modern version of the brand. This collection more than made up for her first lackluster RTW collection.

This is the first Valentino Haute Couture collection I've liked.

When Monsieur Valentino did Couture he sometimes over did it. For me, his dresses always skewed towards Barbie territory

But this collection is absolutely stunning. Beautiful details. And its not just about the embroidery, the shapes are quite Couture [they remind me of Balenciaga] and are innovative [for Valentino anyway]

Best Couture collection this season!!!

Not the biggest fan of the collection, but there's sort of this Mad Men sense where the 1950's gowns are being replaced by women's suits and dresses. That I like. Sorry if I had to put the comparison there.

The official video is up!, unfortunatelly the camera´s sound is not on, I guess it has something to do with showing different angles and editing, an although I wished it had that sound, the video itself is quite special, this collection is magical!!

Does anyone have the link to the full show????

It was seriously absolutely stunningly beautiful!!

Probably one of the BEST Couture shows I've ever seen in my life! It was perfection!

When I die I want to go to a heaven where everyone is dressed in this collection!
