i don't know how to express my feeling, for me it's a little bit chaos, there are too much things to see, but Alessandra also gives a new look for valentino, feminine and wearable, like a new evolution

i am so happy this turned out to be such a fantastic collection!! i think she risked a bit too much with the stiffy volumes that are probably the least valentino pieces, but the rest was very good. she didnt over-embellish, she didnt over-reference, she was very correct! she deserves 100% her job!

I'm quite impressed. There are some gorgeous pieces here.

I wasn't sure what to expect for Alessandra's first couture collection. I'm certain she was under a lot of pressure trying to balance old Valentino with her vision, but I think she did a great job. I don't love everything - some of the proportions look odd to my eye - but I'm looking forward to seeing what she does in the future.

This is such an amazing collection!! Its absolutely beautiful - the only piece I really dislike is Natashas white/gold beaded gown which is very unflattering and not particularly attractive. The last four looks and the pale, pale yellow satin (?) gown with the "fan" or half flower (I'm not sure what to describe it as!) around the neckline - those 5 are my top Couture pieces of this season so far! Does anyone have a video of the actual show? - I'd love to see those gowns in motion

I'm so glad Alessandra did so well, as I get the impression there were so many people who would loved to have seen her collection be a huge flop. Her take on couture is so refreshing and what shes created in just pure beauty

Stunning work. I'm really enjoying how Facchinetti is leading the house. Her exploration and desire to go even further from timeless Valentino is just outstanding.

Lovely embroidery, details and volumes. Finally, something besides ethereal chiffons.

I might be the only one in here but I don't like this.

Minus the pieces that I don't like because of their style (the outfits with extra volume and shape, the heavy beaded dresses). I dislike the rest of the collection because it doesn't capture the Valentino essence. When I think of Valentino, I think hollywood glamor and a strong confident woman. This collection is full of soft, dreamy, and delicate outfits. I was expecting Alessandra (sp?) to create a collection that would express those original Valentino emotions. She doesn't have to copy Valentino outfits exactly but she could at least on hold to the Valentino style of dressing.

I may disagree with you. I believe she is holding with every single nail to Valentino's criative essence. Look at all those fabrics and detailing. I feel the lack of the usual floating glamour and the ultra-light aesthetic as a fresh way to move towards the future of a somewhat cliché-victim fashion maison.
