Wow, this is really beautiful! A major, major improvement from last season. I like nearly all of the looks. And the gowns are heavenly. I especially like the white gown with the long sleeves. In fact, the gowns look almost like they were designed by Elie Saab.

I only wish that this duo would stop making short little dresses that they seem to have a penchant for, such as this example below.
Ugh!

But overall, this collection is great. Their best collection so far, and I think it's the best of this whole couture week.

Have the ditched the frilly business for good and start to bring back the Valentino back when the Emperor was in charge? Or is it simply naive of me to have my faith slowly restored in this brand?

There are finally some pieces that were actually made for a woman and not a little girl. I loved the red dresses and some of the black pieces.

I don't like how it look ill-fitted on the models (for me), like it's so baggy.

classically inspired.
love that they opted for something super sensual & sophisticated this go 'round.
that said, i also love when they do hyper-modern stuff too.

loved this, it's refined & elegant. love the pieces that sparkle.

I find this collection to be quite beautiful with lovely silhouettes and details. It might not completely run in the same vein as old Valentino, but at this point, I don't expect that anyway. To me, this actually seems like quite a change from what we've been seing before and it's definitely a good change. The duo don't seem to be taking huge leaps, but they are taking steps in the right direction.

This is the first collection since this duo started that I've enjoyed. It's certainly not Valentino as we once knew it but it's better than the girly pap they indulged in before.
