Too minimal and lacking the rich, luxurious quality that Valentino usually has..

Hmm ... some of these looks are atypically strong. Somewhere lurks a talented new Valentino assistant ...

I was really expecting A LOT from Valentino this season but I got underwhelmed and disappointed. The looks were same old, boring and I really didn`t get the theme / inspiration of the Collection. I was somewhat lost with it.

I loved this collection, repetitive, yes, but at the same time so fresh and youthful, breezy dresses, flat sandals and espadrilles, easy hair and makeup...

THIS is summer in all its glory, walking on the beach at sunset/sunrise in one of these dresses...

And who wouldn't like that?

Once again disappointed. The designers should get over themselves and start challenging themselves in making the new Valentino woman grow up and actually be a woman and also use more bold colours.

Agreed on the fact that the silhouette is same old but this, for me, is the first collection under the duo that is just a complete hit with me.

If I were a woman who adored beautiful, feminine clothes and had a sh.tload of money, I would probably buy the whole lot of it.
And I thought the same about that dress Spiral1532. Perhaps Kirsten Dunst? Hoping on it.
Agreed. the silhouettes and color palette is pretty much almost the same (i do appreciate the pinks and greens introduced though) but i adore the lace detailing on the dresses which are absolutely stunning in HQ/up close.

I haven't liked the new Valentino under this duo for seasons until their latest Haute Couture collection and this one, so this is a hit for me. I've always found Valentino to be kind of overrated and way too twee, but i think this one isn't that twee--- more renaissance femininity, just like the haute couture collection.

they're not trying that hard from what they've been doing, but like Elie Saab, the craftsmanship and final product is stunning and i can see that this will be another collection we'll see a lot of on the red carpet.

I am alright with the silhouettes... and all the lace and everything. I think that they are trying to create a new classic for Valentino.

But seriously, the motifs this time seems a bit too old!!! (the first couple of dresses, the shirt dress Daga was wearing) I really don't get the Mexican influence... I thought the Russian for couture was enough but...

THey should seriously consider doing one collection full of clothes w/o any lace or motifs (like what they did for the FW10 couture...)

And why didn't they bring back the jacket shapes from that particular couture season... and those short skirts?

It's spring summer and I don't think that girls want to be in long dresses...

Anyway... I am just glad they are developing the va va voom line... I am planning to get one soon... hopefully...
