I love how there is such a clear connection, and evolution in all her collections. This was such a beautiful step forward, but still very much what she is seen wearing now. As always, the love affair with menswear goes on, but what a beautiful "ice cream" colour palette, combined with delicate materials it actually came out looking powerful as a whole.

Apart from dresses, the strongest looks are suits!! Amazing layering in this collection, she and Joe McKenna are really working so well together, who would have thought!! I want all those sleeveless coats, and that grey suit on Jay, is pure perfection, i would wear it asap!!

The shoes are such an interesting, and unexpected choice here, and it really paid off. The glitter pumps, and mules, and even those slightly 1960s Monroe pumps, added nice touch of sexy.

If i was on her team, and advising her, she would be out of NYFW, and firmly showing at London, this collection was certainly good enough.

Thanks for posting Vogue28.

I like this much more than I have her previous few collections, it at least has a solid colour and print scheme, and is cohesive. She's still riffing Stella, but its a much more polished and pulled together version. It's okay...forgettable, but an improvement on the past.

There are some solid pieces here.

She's resting on her morals. She found a winning formula and she's going with it.

Knock her all you want, it's still way better than half the B.S. that's been shown in NYC.

I feel like she "invented" new colors. I think the brand's accessories were going up while the clothes have been going down for the past couple of years. But this is a good comeback!

I believe the phrase is "resting on her laurels."
It's certainly not great by any means, but I don't see anything that I'd label "hideous"..which is the only word I can describe most of what I've seen from the other shows. Feeling..neutral.

This is exactly the type of fashion that i hate. There's no distinctive point of view, no identity, no personality.
It's just "oh so in the middle". Everything is perfectly bland, from the color palette to the cast and the setting.

I'm sorry but wearing your own clothes doesn't mean that your brand has an identity. It just says that you're your own brand ambassador.

This is the reason why NYFW is just so boring... A lot (too many) of designers have a platform nut no voice. This is just the perfect illustration of that.

Yes, she has gained credibility but it's time for her to step-up her game. I need to identify the brand and the designer.

I would rather see Phillip Plein than this...Seriously.

I don't think you mean that.

I agree with Lola, VB has no proper identity. It's just "pretty/modernist" clothing and no message behind. What this woman would do without Céline ? I wonder...

She should really work on a signature look or bag instead of being happy copying the aesthetics of the moment. I mean even the Row are doing Céline-sque clothes but they develop their own world in their way...
