That's from Fall 2006, though it wasn't shown on the runway.

There's a similar version in black with white floral embroidery that was shown in the mens collection from that season.

I recently bought a jacket from an SF consignment shop that I am curious if it is by Margiela. It is a replica of a one-button, shawl collared jacket from a 1970's waiter's uniform made of black nylon. There's a large, white tag at the back of the neck (sans the Margiela number tag though), that reads: REPRODUCTION D'UNE SERIE DE VETEMENTS ANCIENS--- *Veste de serveur de restaurant. France. Annees 1970. REPRODUCTION OF A SERIES OF OLD GARMENTS--- *Jacket of a waiter's uniform. France. 1970's. This tag is stitched in white which is visible on the outside of the jacket. The only other tags are on the right inside which is the size tag, and the material tag which both state MADE IN ITALY. I know Margiela makes replicas under his 14 line but I can't find out if he did a waiter's jacket. I've searched his site already and didn't see it (though I couldn't view the 2007 14 line?) I also did an intense web search with no luck either. It possibly may be from his womens line since the button can be moved from either the right to the left side. My gut feeling is that it's a Margiela piece, though I would like confirmation of this. So if anyone knows more then please share, especially what season it is from. Thanks.
