i love yohji yamamoto's pattern making
there is one jacket that drapes like a normal jacket on the body, but it turns into a flower (?) at the chest.. it doesn't look like a separate piece attached to the jacket either. very cool
very simple but very strong design

thanks for bringing this in, runner
i've never heard of +NOIR before

Is there an archive of old collections?
I'd like to see the outfit Estella Mare talks about in an old Yohji Y + Noir thread...
This is the collage she made (the outfit is at the top right corner)
I'm pretty sure she mentioned it is from fall 05

^Here r the links for past collections

A/W06-07 (my fav): http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums...7-a-46540.html

S/S06-07: http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums...6-a-37285.html

the pics in FW05 do not work anymore...
Furthermore, http://www.pollyanna.com/ do still carry the NOIR line I think..

The Noir line is based on classic and timeless pieces of the Yohji Yamamoto line. Each season a part of the collection changes, while the other part remains the same.
Yohji Yamamoto +Noir is almost entirely black with an unusual punctuation of bright colours.

man oh man, is this great. the red skirt in post #5 and the black sweater with the balloon sleeves is so nice. I also like the poses of the models moving, it accentuates the fact that these clothes are meant to be seen in motion.

runner, as always, a million thanks.
