Absolutely agreed - in motion - I think it's a substantial part of the subtle beauty of these clothes!

Thank you runner.

I love the boyishness of some outfits, like not the strong and rough, but the cute little boy kind

Timeless really, more an attitude than fashion. This look has been around forever and still looks fresh. Somewhere between Jules & Jim and Gertrude Stein...

i forgot all about this thread...
thanks for reminding me laika......

so- i got the jacket in post #1 bottom left and the sweater in post #3 bottom left-
except my sweater is longer w.long slvs and a bigger cowl...
the one in the pic looks like mine but shrunk in the wash...:p
for a second i wished that i had gotten the skirt to match the jacket as i did think about it....
but in the end i think it's fine that i got what i did...

there is no pic of the burgundy swtr i got....

i tried on the striped sort of harlequin jkt...
the hem is so cool... the way it is made..
it sort of curves around and then there is one more sort of flap on the back off center...
it fits beautifully...

yohji always has these sharp edges which is where i think my weakness lies..

Great choices!

I saw the shrunken version of that mottled sweater at the store...it's great, but soooo tiny...yours sounds a lot more versatile, actually.

I had pre-ordered the knit on the bottom left of post #2, but I just got word today that's it's not coming.

So I guess I will have some extra Yohji money lying around...

:p

***I really want the hat in the top right of post #4, but i have a feeling I won't find it.

if that makes you feel any better...
...

you mean the leather cap thingie...?
yeah- that is so cool...
maybe you'll see it in paris...
if it's going ot be anywhere....i think it would be there...

*you know...
galleries lafayette gets a bad rap...
but i have gotten great Y's and atsuro tayama and martine sitbon there on past visits...
the yohji dept is quite good there...

the collection had a great urbanity about it. very stylish but subtle. yohji is so refreshing at times like these where people are so desparate to show off their goods, luxury or otherwise.
