yay, we're finally in paris

i love the blue jacket and the dresses.
travolta where do you see the agressiveness apart from camouflage (something i'll probably never like, whoever does it)? in the rope-dresses?

thanks for the pictures everyone!

I hate the camouflage, otherwise it looks very promising. Looking forward to see more..

thanks nqth. those are large jeans! ...a change from the sexy/skinny jeans I am so bored with I like the tubing of the stiff fabric...I wonder if it stays like that.

i thought the styling looked 'guerilla' ... the rope dresses aren't very practical, and aren't typically sophisticated looking, so i guess you could say it has that vibe to it. from what i've seen so far it looks kinda mishmashed...but i think that's exciting for yohji cause he's a rock...

your right, the black coat-robe? has something of a dragon woman to it, too.
actually i even saw an agressive tendency in his last collection, but maybe that's just me....

anna, i agree the last collection was agressive. a bit biker chic right? it's was moving ink paintings with a dash of ice hard studs and serious bouffants. ;P this collection, however, isn't even as subtle as that and is both heavy and abstract at the same time... blah, blah, blah. it's only twice per year we get to do this

Interesting is the best word to describe this collection. The hair and make up is unique and I'm always fond of the clothes even if they're impractical.

Yeah, very 'hard' for Yohji, I think. Even the looks on the models' faces as they strode aggressively down the runway. I don't know if I like it. The tubing reminds me of what younger designers like Matthew Ames and Gareth Pugh do--and I don't like it one bit.

I always feel a bit hesitant, to talk about these runway collections cuz I dont think I have enough experience, and don't know enough...
but,
Dont like alot of it. Way too abstract, and detailed. Looks like a sci-fi alien movie set.
Some of the quiter simpler elements are ok. The dragon dress is cool.
major points for being innovative, but as far as attractive, or useable... I'm not feeling it.
