i am seriously obsessed with the chain mail dresses and the leaf jewelry. ill miss stefano and his interpretation of the yves saint laurent style, but i look forward to seeing what he does next. i think the best is yet to come from him.

The dresses in particular stand out as special. But the strong silhouette is striking as well.

BTW, I like what he has to say about "heart" in that WWD review, but it makes me sad that he feels fashion is losing its heart, and becoming more business focused all the time. And so I ask, was this comment at the end of the article a dig?

François-Henri Pinault and Salma Hayek were first to their feet.
Are they ruining fashion? Why bloody conglomerates.

Sorry, just had to spit that out with some morning fire. Roar.

The chainmail dresses look amazing! And as per usual the accessories are on point.

Finally something really good at PFW. The cut on the dresses is perfect!

CATHY HORYN isn't a fan of Pilati is she? Hope he will think that Hedi is better suited for YSL but than again, she much prefer Raf!

Well, at least Horyn doesn't kiss EVERYONE's a$$, like most fashion "critics" do these days, but at the same time I find her bias a bit blinding. She liked the McQueen collection this season for crying out loud

This was a nice collection. I wasn't out of my seat but I thought it was very pleasing. I am just waiting for an inspiring collection and I have yet to get that.

I absolutely love the dresses too. And I love the leaf jewellery too (or are they lilly flowers?) and can someone please tell me the significance of this flower/leaf at Yves Saint Laurent?

i guess they are calla lillies. according to the style.com review they are the roman symbol of lust (they also said they are layed on the graves of those that met an untimely demise, lol how appropriate!)

YSL has always been and still is for me a real Parisian elegance reflection. I hope that in the near future YSL will still be fashion brand which means true elegance and delicacy.
