This is pretty hideous, in my opinion. So incredibly outdated. And the second to last gown actually looks like he just pulled the comforter off his bed and threw it on the model.

Does Zac Posen really need to pretend he design the "new" collection??? It´s almost identical like her last work... where some originality, where is something really interesting?

the mermaid dresses are his staple, we have to learn to accept it.

but other than that, I kinda don't see where all the flack is coming from.

I think it's a nice collection. his take on the Asian influence sure is a lot more creative than, say, Jason Wu's collection. I mean, talk about a literal take on the Asia - Wu had the Mandarin collared outfits, the red imperial palace gates as the backdrop, etc .

At least Zosen isn't as "in-your-face" (well in other areas he is) with the Asian theme. And he really means Asia - I see Japanese elements, whereas Wu was stuck in mainland China. Very modern interpretations of high society Shanghai, for example, or any other bustling Eur-Asian cities.

I applaud him for being able to work with such a broad color spectrum and not have his collection look tacky or excruciatingly painful on the eyes. But we've all seen Zac do better...

Classic Zac, not sure if thats a bad thing or not but I would like to see more variation in his collections.

oh look it's cheap looking materials and an ubearable amount of mermaid shape dresses. it's same old same old. and it never appeals me at all. i do kinda love that long blue coat with the green trousers (minus that.. bow?)

Sorry, this collection is "far too old" - it looks like 1970s Ungaro or Oscar de la Renta.

Zac can do better.
