Coachella 2008

Hey guys! It's that time of year again...Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2008!! As of right now, no lineup has been announced. However, I found a list of the confirmed bands from consequence.com.

Confirmed:The entire lineup should be coming out in about 1 week or 2.
So who's thinking of going? I'm for sure showing up for my fourth year in a row. I love this festival, even though it can be kind of tiring because its like 100 degrees.

I was just talking about it this morning. my friend says Portishead is confirmed too. it's not true, is it?

I also heard rumours about The Verve.

I hope Radiohead plays there again.. since they'll be starting to tour right about that time. that would be so awesome.

About Portishead, who knows, but it would be really cool if they went. I heard rumors about the Verve also. I'd love to see them live. And about Radiohead, a lot of people are saying they will play, and others are saying that their reps confirmed they aren't playing. I guess we'll have to see. Some people are also saying Bowie will show.

yeah, it's rather mediocre despite having Portishead.. I'll probably go on saturday, just because it's been a while since I've been to Coachella.. but other than that, the festival is slowly dying conceptually. pretty sad.

.. and.. I was never big on The Verve but why are they opening for Jack Johnson?

i clicked on her myspace...her music (if you can call it that)...

the second day seems the best to me, but i'm not sure if it's worth $90 and a drive to indio...
i hope portishead's stop is part of a bigger tour...

thanks for the info cassanova...

Here's the poster. Third day is the one I'd choose, especially for Spiritualized, but I doubt I'll go. Just not enough of what I want to see..

Kimair, how was Mars Votla on NYE? Saw them on Letterman the other night, great stuff.

Sooooo excited. Might really go. It is between Coachella and Burning Man. I can't do both because flying to the US three times in one year seems a bit pointless.
