I hate to say it but she won me over. I had ignored her music for so long because of the Amy Winehouse comparisons. Her sound might be a little packaged but her songs are catchy as heck. I'm a sucker for 60's songs anyway, so I shouldn't be surprised.
You really just explained what I was thinking, she may have been trained to sound like winehouse who knows but she has real talent and she sings from the heart I love the song Warwick Avenue which is a tube station in London i actually use! she really captures the emotions in her songs. Yeah im liking the 60's revival

wow in #59 pics, and some of #60, she just so reminds me of Carol White, from the 60s film Poor Cow - which is totally a compliment from me as i LOVE that kind of style...sort or half undone, not quite perfect hair and make up wise.
I don't find her to be a packaged Amy Winehouse at all. I mean the sound is popular at the moment, but to have that kind of voice is something you are born with but the songs aren't always big band style like Amy's Ronson produced ones. Either way, as others have dutifully noted, that (and 60's style hair) is really wear the comparisons end. I'm not the biggest Duffy fan in the world, but I would gladly choose one of her concert over Amy's. I want to see someone on the other side of their problems, not re-living them day by day.
