I have to say Eminem. He is truly someone I admire (which doesnt happen often or never at all). I respect that he is able to voice his thought and feelings, while still being able to connect with a lot of different people. I truly find him remarable for everyhting he has achieved, strived for, for pusing the barriers and being able to emerge as a success in every way!!!!!!!

Dre and Jimmy gave Game one helluva budget to work with) rather than the Game's actual MC'ing. I think The Game is lyrically a rather mediocre MC, but his mic presence and flow are strong enough to keep me listening.
I agree re: lyrically, but... I don't know, I know that someone like Common is more brilliant lyrically, but I almost never listen to him. The Game, like Nas, Biggie, Wu-Tang, and many others, have an appeal I can't quite articulate, despite the fact that they may have more talented contemporaries.

**** it, what am I talking about, The Game's album is just ****ing blazing. Dre got him the best producers and he just laid it down.

I periodically think that hiphop sucks, and then the Kanye album drops, or The Game, or Nas remembers what made him great to begin with, or The Grey Album gets released to the fileshare networks, and everything seems OK.

And re: Kool Keith ^^^ -- between Ultramagnetic MCs, Dr. Octagon, and his admittedly spotty solo stuff, he is one of my favorites, definitely. He is completely crazy--on album and in person--but that definitely adds to his appeal.

Ludacris absolutely murdered the recent song w/ Jamie Foxx...i don't think anyone sounds more natural and effortless on the mic today. Can't carry a solo album for his life, but his guest appearances ALWAYS come correct.

Have any of you guys done the TFS mixtape exchange? I want to do it, but it doesn't seem like many people are into rap or r&b.

i agree with xcoldricex that ghostface is a solid lyricist. unforunately, the recent show i saw of his you could barely hear any of the words...
