Florence Welch has revealed that she and Blake Lively are close friends.
The Florence + The Machine singer said that the Gossip Girl star's appreciation of her music was what led her to book a slot on an episode of the CW drama, which aired last month.
"[Blake] actually came to our very first New York show," she told E Online.
"She's been to all of the shows that we've done in America and she flew out to Las Vegas just because I was performing there over the New Year."
Welch continued: "She asked if I wanted to come on Gossip Girl and so we were already friends.
"I love Blake. She's a great girl!"
So wish she had of worn that Chanel dress to the Oscars. That Valentino just looks like rags.
LOVE her outfit at the Givenchy show.

I wish that she wouldn't wear head-to-toe looks sometimes. She should add a bit of personal style to her looks. At the moment, she looks like one of those celebrities who has clearly been loaned all of these items. It's pretty evident she will never see those items again in her life!
yeah i kind of miss when flo was a bit more eclectic and a bit more personal with her style. seems to me,ever since her popularity grew in the states her dressing kind of evolved as well. i still enjoy that she isn't over-polished which renders a personal vein....but i would like to see her mix it up a little bit again head to toe.
She's gone to practically every major Paris show. A bit too eager for me. That Valentino outfit is so bad, it drastically washes her out. I don't think the new Valentino aesthetic suits her. Though the Chanel dinner dress is lovely.

^yup. a lot of talent and a lot of vision for somebody so young. it's like patrick wolf and zach condon of beirut....both are still in their early-mid 20's as well.
btw, talking of her style....i really wish she would utilise more indie designers with her presence. i mean as an indie artist it makes sense. all of these established labels...we see it day in,day out already with so many celebs,it would be nice to see somebody of her newfound fame doing something a little different. actually, looking at that printed dress, alongside kaiser karl,i'm imaging how great she'd look in somebody like christian wijnants' work. in fact,i can see her in a.f. vandevorst as well. they have the kind of drama that would speak to flo's sensibility. and the bevy of japanese designers as well....junya,comme + tricot, yohji, undercover, sacai and suzuki takayuki. also, lutz too!
