Pity is,they're rarely shown....the last one I remember that was aired in the US was "Human" in which she plays a chamber maid. The others, you just have to buy the singles to see any of them.

Btw,I love those striped "Wicked witch" socks

Goldfrapp have recorded the soundtrack to the new British movie My Summer of Love.

The band arranged a brand new orchestral score for the film and also contributed some of their older songs such as ‘Lovely Head’. However, the music is unlikely to be released.

The critically acclaimed film tells the story of two teenage girls from Yorkshire who fall in love and run away together. It comes out nationwide on October 22.

My Summer of Love is directed by Pawel Pawlikowski and stars Natalie Press and Emily Blunt.
Has anybody in Britain seen this yet?

After "Felt Mountain" and alot of their other orchestral/ambient tracks, people were asking Alison,if she would ever be interested in doing something like this. She said no at the time exclaiming that she'd be changing her mind all the time. But I'm happy they decided to do this. Its logical too;most of their more obvious influences have been film composers. Biggest being Morricone. Not to mention, this film, from what I read about it seems like such a perfect story for their music.

Soft, you didn't hear anything about this film whilst in London? Apparently, its getting alot of critical acclaim. I hope its here too....I would love to see this. And it sounds like such a contradiction to all the stereotypes of being gay and falling in love. I mean, one of the characters talks of Nietzsche and listens to Edith Piaf(another Goldfrapp influence .

Sounds pleasing. When Air did the score for The Virgin Suicides it went down well, reached a real audience.

I've heard it has beautiful cinematography, and once they were willing to give her a reasonable amount of freedom, it wouldn't feel too restrictive in comparison to whatever her normal methods are...

A-HA! I knew there was a catch

Alison is notorious for being a bit of a tough cookie when it comes to her work. She doesn't like to compromise anything. That's good though. Artists(and I say this with all my fibre)like she and Will are, deserve that kind of freedom.

I read that too about the cinematography, btw. Another reason they decided on this...extremely visual that wonderfully electric master is

I do want to see it, but a comparison I read to Heavenly Creatures, a film that is still with me to this day, has me thinking again.

But I'm sure it's just the close relationship of two young women that has them saying that, and not the presence of a violent and surreal current that could cast another spell on my nightmares.
