Horrified, I just noticed the GNR does not have a thread. How can this stylish band ever have been overlooked?
As for fashion relevance, aside from the 80s LA street style that they were definitely the most perfect instance of: Axl Rose famously dated Stephanie Seymour, was even once on the Interview cover, sometime in 1992 (I think). He was also known for wearing kilts and for the little known 90s trend "Versace suits + hotpants" in the early 90s.
I Guns 'n' Roses with all my heart! I think that their first album Apetite for Destruction was and still remains as one of the best hard rock albums ever. It such a shame that the original band will never reunite !

^Well, it's sad. But it adds to their cred. They really ran rocknroll as far as it would go. You might even say they killed it And now, they essentially want to kill each other - not really, but there's definitely no love lost there.
Yeah. Still, he wasn't the one who was unconscious for years on end. I think it was an unfortunate personal chemistry there, but obviously fantastic musically.
^^Axl had a very diva attitude. Forgive me to bring Metallica to the discussion, but when they were touring with them in a show in Toronto when James Hetfield was burned by a torch. Axl had the opportunity to continue with the show, instead he decided to make a show because of a "sound problem". I think that he wanted always to be the center of attention no matter what and suddenly the other members of the band got tired of it and it was indeed with Axl because all GNR member co-exist really well in Velvet Revolver.
