^ How does does one separate entertainment and art? But that's not the point here.
And no, I was not comparing Lana's talent with any other artists'. I was only mentioning Brit and Gaga to make a point regarding authenticity.
I do think authenticity is important. My point was that people don't seem to be caring about what is manufactured and what is not today with artists that are popularized. They buy in to what they like by what they see and hear.
Taste is subjective. Quite frankly, I'm tired of people constantly being beaten down for their taste. What makes anyone better simply because their choice of music is different? It's all personal. That's all. Posted via Mobile Device
Yeah, but you can like different music for different reasons. I'm a big fan of indie music. Still, I can't refuse myself some mainstream pleasures like Britney Spears' Toxic or Beyonce's Crazy In Love. But, I get your point and yeah, it's quite stupid to critizise people for their music tastes.
I am starting to really enjoy and i dont usually enjoy people that are extremely hyped up, but i will admit that the Born to Die video is something I could do without and i enjoy the song so much. I don't understand why people hate her when she just made an excellent career decision. Honestly, how many people would have even looked at her twice if she still kept her original appearance?
Some infos about the video, from an interview Bradley recently gave to MTV Hive: he was picked by Lana herself, the video was shoot in the Palace of Fontainebleau, the shooting took 3 days and the tigers were actually one tiger which they mirrored.
There seems to be a bit of a back story to your character in the video but it seems a little unexplained. Who is this dude?
Alright, the back story. I’m her boyfriend. It’s basically like, the boyfriend, you can see the two sides of the relationship where I’m kissing her, then pointing a gun at her head. That’s what it is. It’s a relationship that is so terrible but neither of them want to leave. That’s why when she is in the car, and she wipes the glass, she’s looking mad sad, distant, thoughtful. But I’m still trying to get her attention. That’s kinda the story for it.
