I saw them on Mystic Festival in 2005

They did a better show than Iron Maiden who were after them.

Sadly no more Tarja in Nightwish

I hate it after Tarja. And I really gave the new singer a chance to grow into it, but the vids that pop up now are still as bad as when she just started to eprform with the band. So I guess I'll skip them in March when they come to my town, it's not worth 35 euros.

And they were one of my favourite bands ones, but I guess i'll just have to accept that they've moved on with a new singer.

Well,I listen to power and symphonic metal,and I also love Nightwish.
I didn't like Tajr like a person,but she was THE ONE for the Nightwish.
Now with this new girl it seems like they are getting more commercial,dunno,but It's such a pity that Tarja left.

yes really, i was going home from helsinki to East finland,North karelia, and he stepped in the city called Kouvola and we all know he was going home to kitee...( the trip lasted around 4 hours)

Wow that's really cool, bumping into Tuomas. hehe. Here, not a chance...!

I agree without Tarja the mystique she exuded is gone. The uniqueness of the vocals too.

But with Anette's voice I guess it has more appeal to the masses. A lot ppl who didn't get the opera-quality uniqueness now like Nightwish with Anette.

Also Anette has a more fun personality and seem more accessible than Tarja. I appreciate Anette's friendliness but I also like Tarja's classy aloofness... and that stiffness... if you can understand that, hehe. On the other hand though, vocally, though Anette can't do the opera singing, I think she can do stuff Tarja can't do either due to her stiffness. Tarja's really good with the opera stuff but with contemporary singing she sucks honestly. So they each have their own pluses. Anette's more trendy I guess but Tarja is timeless. I guess I like both, but Tarja is a special icon to me. Nobody's like her!! Me loves.

I recently watched the video for Bless the Child again and it made me miss Tarja so much

I don't think she ever looked better.

I don't really like her solo stuff to be honest, some good songs, some boring ones. It's all just very mediocre.
But then again, Nightwish also moved on with an album I don't really appreciate either and they'll play at the Lowlands festival in Holland in august. I think I'm going to check them out, but I just can't stand the new vocals

although Anette does seem a very nice person. And I actually totally lost my interest in the band but the festival line up is very boring so far.

I also really liked Tarja's clothes but Anette's not at all

Yup.. I don't like Anette's style either. It looks like a bad Amy Lee rip-off. Amy Lee's clothes are cool though. Tarja wins for uniqueness.
