This thread is long overdue! Anyone else love him? all pictures from my own collection, hehe. His new album The Magic Position is amazing. Wind in the Wires and Lycanthropy are great too!

I went to see him at the Koko in Camden. I do like a performer who dresses up on stage and really makes an effort, but its not really my kind of music.
there was an article about him in the latest issue of AnOther Man or Vman. Not sure and too lazy and lethargic to get up and search. Anyway, I am in love with the song entitled Tristan. I know a Tristan and I am less than fond of him, so the song is sort of ironic for me to enjoy. All of that is irrelevant. Patrick Wolf is an amazing musician.
all this time I was 100% convinced we kept a thread on him..perhaps it got deleted?, this is too weird.
he was on full rotation at TFS around 2004, it brings me great memories and I love him still...though I never got into his newer songs [newers than Lycanthropy ].
i love him...like to a disturbing degree ...but i must admit, i liked wind in the wires and lycanthropy much more than the magic position...i'll probably end up changing my mind though because i've just started listening to it and it'll probably grow on me...
I just found out about this guy and I am glad I did. I love his sounds and the way his music is produced. And his voice is lovely! He kind of reminds me of a male Kate Bush....almost!
I just read on a Dutch music website that he was going to quit, apparently, he wrote on his own forum:
Quote:
I have made a decision, my final concert will be this november, a retrospective with an orchestra in London. I am not sure wether there will be anymore public communications after that, Infact I am pretty sure there will be none. Of course, this has nothing to do with my drummer.. but a creative clock is ticking and I have many many projects to be creating with my time left on this earth. I hope to share my last shows with you this year.

If I can give any advice, is, if anything, just listen to the music, watch the videos, read the lyrics, see the artwork, these are my communications, not others.
I think he's having a bit of a diva turn, he seems to be in a stressful time and reading your own forums can't help. Hope he's ok and continues which I'm sure he will...
