And wow this is interesting too (from puddlegum.net):

Quote:
Ten years after OK Computer shocked the world, Radiohead released In Rainbows on October 10 (10/10). Though no one was expecting the album to be released until 2008, Radiohead announced In Rainbows just ten days in advance. In Rainbows, which consists of ten letters, has ten tracks, and would be downloadable from a rumored ten servers. In September, Radiohead began to send nine cryptic messages to their fans. One image was titled Xendless Xurbia, with hundreds of white arrows pointing up, each with a black arrow pointing down. Coincidentally, one of Radiohead’s new songs is called Down Is The New Up. Interestingly enough, X is the Roman Numeral for ten. The tenth cryptic message will be posted today, October 10.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to listen to it yet... there's so much going on in my head and around me at that moment that I just haven't found the time I'm hoping for a lonely rainy day soon when I can just hole up in my room and really process it....

as much as id like to believe the 1.2 million number, i don't know if i do. i mean, the server crashed for a portion of the day, so thats a lot of people that didn't download.

anyway, every listen is better than the last. I am particularly in love with faust arp right now, which is intersting because that (along with the entirely different reckoner) was unheard before the album came out.

the more i listen, the more i like the arrangements as well, and thoms voice. the way he says "reckoner" and on nude ("theeeeerrrrreeeee'llll be something missing")

I also have live versions of the new songs 15 step, bodysnatchers, nude, videotape, all i need, and house of cards as well as spooks and down is the new up which are on the extra cd from their show last summer in LA if anyone wants those

Ok I don't know what to do about the songs. This is way to confusing.

^ I might be able to help. PM me and I'll see what I can do.

I can't believe that I haven't posted here yet! I've been a huge fan since the premiere of the "High & Dry" video on MTV and during the days when The Bends was on sale for $5.99 at Best Buy!

I was so stoked for In Rainbows and I've been listening to it non-stop. My favorite songs keep changing but I adore "Nude" and "Jigsaw Falling Into Place."
