I'm really familar with their music but and a friend and I are going to go to their concert tomorrow night.

yeah. I know I <3 Chanel is a fan. and I used to be one. they were big around the time of set yourself on fire, no?. I still listen to one more night from time to time. lovely song.

they have some lovely songs, don't listen to them anymore though... for some reason... seem too earnest perhaps?

I'm a fan, still listen to them. They are quite earnest, which is part of the appeal, to me. It's strange - I much prefer my books, television series and movies to be cynical, but I love optimistic, hippiesque and, well, earnest music. Anyway, I hope you have fun!

they were great last night! you guys are all right that they are a very, very earnest band, but i think that's why i like them so much-- they were geniunely so happy to play and so grateful that people showed up. they're a very sweet and lovely band
