I prefer deep house or filter house. I hate that uplifting stuff with lots of female vocals

If you already know Blue Six, are you familiar with Miguel Migs? Anything by him or any artist on the Naked Music, Black Vinyl and NRK labels should be what you're looking for.

i'm not to keen on migs' production outings. not really digging his petalpusher stuff... though there are some remixes by him i like.

his mixes are good though, yeah. i'll check into those other labels too, thanks.

house
this is a partial list of the all time greats in house music.

frankie knuckles.
tony humphries
david morales
junior vasquez
danny tenaglia
derrick carter
erick morillo
dj sneak
carl cox

then theres progressive house djs like
steve lawler
sasha
john digweed
danny howells
sander kleinenberg
paul oakenfold
dj vibe
tiesto
armin van buren

and new names like
james zabiela
dj heather
desin masiello
nick fanciulli
low end specialists
exacta

almost any cd by the top 10 names will be good, and representative of house.
but like any music, house is best heard only in a club, live by a graet dj.
nio cd can come close to hearing a dj live in the flesh playing new records & mixes they could never clear on a cd. generally you have to live in a major city to hear most of the above names.

if youre seriously into house & djs you attend the winter music conference in miami every march.
this year is march 22-27. its an all night party every night for a week.

there are also many festivals in europe particularly in england especially during the summer.
