Great thread and pictures! I have been listening to Tori since I was around 14 and adore her.. in the past few years, I sort of drifted away from her music, but very recently have got back into it, and it is pretty much all I have been listening to the past week- heh. There are so many of her songs that I love- Crucify, Playboy Mommy, Winter, Jackie's Strength, Raspberry Swirl, Suede..I could go on and on. I saw her once in concert (in 2003) and she was amazing!

Today I just got "American Doll Posse" and it is taking some getting used to for me (since it's different from her older songs)... but I like it.

I dont care for Tori's music anymore (havent since before Choirgirl) but now that she is slowly turning into Cher with the wigs and plastic surgery I love her for her image again. She'll be on What Perez Says tonight on Vh1.

um...she hasn't had plastic surgery. botox (maybe) but nothing else.

The wigs are funny but I think they sorta of work.

I just love Tori. I'm more partial to her early stuff, but I really appreciate where she is now, the things she stands for, her voice.

Are you serious honey? She's talked openly about getting plastic surgery. She's had a brow lift and TONS of Botox. I dont care that she has, but she's certainly not looking this great from staying out of the sun and good genes.

* Tori talks about botox...

"Lines for men as they get older, it becomes very much a turn-on, but lines for women, as we age, has not been associated with 'wisdom is sexy.' And women that are running that side of the fashion or the music or whatever it is hasn't supported this either."

That's right. They get into the botox thing.

"Yeah, well..."

But it's what the industry demands. And how do you reconcile? I mean, you are you -- you're not a product. How do you deal with the productization? How you deal with that?

"I think you have to know -- I think you have to kind of decide what kind of artist you want to be. And you make peace with that. And some people have become sex symbols in their careers, and that's a very different road to take than if you're talking about the heart. That doesn't mean I won't get my botox shots. I don't know what I'm going to do because that's between you and your dermatologist." [A Conversation with Ann Powers - January 12, 2002

And Botox doesnt raise your eyes. Your forehead and eye area begin to FALL as you age and she doesnt have that whatsoever. Everything is very high from the eyes up, she's had her eyes tilted and her brow lifted. You can see in some photos without the heavy bangs how her forehead is higher too.
But-Tori has had major eye work done. Not just Botox. Just look at some pictures from 1996 or 1998, even 1999. Loss of facial fat and change of facial structure as you get older can be pretty dramatic. But Tori's entire brow area is different, her entire eye shape is different, her lids are dramatically different. Her eyes look 1/4 inch bigger than they did 10 years ago. She always has a wide eyed look, makes her always look awake (which is actually the point of the surgery) Her eye area is very tight (not in a freakish way) It cracks me up that anyone could deny her surgery. if you can watch the John Stewart interview from Comedy Central or even the Rosie O'Donnell interview- both from 1999- A time of great stress for Tori and right before she has something done.
Loss of facial fat definitely changes your appearance. And Tori has definitely gotten more chiseled looking through natural aging.

And I am NOT putting down Tori at all. I believe in doing whatever you want to feel good..

she looks a bit like ron howard's daughter (the one who was in the village) in those 2007 photos..
definitely sporting a fresher faced look..

*what's going on with her music-wise?
we don't want to focus too much on plastic surgery talk :p

Ahhh, that hair.

I still love Tori's "A Sorta Fairytale" after all this time.
