Jake read (straight out of his iBook ) a moving piece he wrote about the powerful American redneck community, which ACLU protects nevertheless, because it protects all American citizens indiscriminatory.
Maggie acted out a faux-interview with Tony Kuschner. She was the contradictory Justice O'Connor. It was funny.

Robin Williams almost made me fall out of my chair when he acted Bush as Golum.

Patti Smith recited a poem by Allen Ginzberg with Philip Glass on the piano.

Lou Reed played two awesome song (Take a walk on the wild side, of course). BTW, if I look like Lou when I'm 60, I will consider myself blessed .

Wyclef Jean can play a guitar with his teeth

There was also a moving tribute to Lenny Bruce. American govt really fvcked him up, didn't they...

I've only been to 2. The Moffats when I was 12 and recently Hanson. I'm not one for concerts though...too loud and crowded for my liking.

I've been going to concerts since i was about 11 years old so i've been to quite a lot now, i'll list some reacent ones.

Eighties matchbox b'line disaster (once this years but 6 times over all)

KMFDM - i saw them in may, it was one of the best gigs i've ever seen.

Easyworld - about 3 times this year, i've seen them a lot over the years they were amazing.

Delays - about 3 times this year - the best time was with my boyfriend when they played in newcastle...i cried,

Kasabian - that was amazing.

pink grease - that was sooo fun!

i can't think of any more, thats not a lot of gigs for me i usually see a hell of a lot more in a year...theres still time yet.

I'm going to see the manic street preachers in december - i've seen them about 6 times now they're amazing...even though the new material is pants.

I’m not much of a ”concert person” so the concerts I have attended this year are only two free concerts with The Raveonettes and Swan Lee. I sadly missed Patti Smith last year when she gave a concert in my hometown.

Today I got ticket to R.E.M.’s second concert in Denmark next summer and I’m really excited about it. The tickets to the first concert in Denmark on their new tour sold out in 4 hours but this time I got my tickets before they go on sale.

Various Russian Rock Concerts
Various Russian pop concetrs (not by choice, I was tricked damn it)
Almost every Sunday matinee in CBGBs for a few years.
Tons of punk and hardcore shows...but have never been to a big rock concert.
The Skatalites
Laurel Aitken
And other reggae/ska bands that it's too early in the morning to remember

Which Russian bands have you seen live? Have you seen Mumiy Troll? I have this crush on them..

God, no one ever comes to Prague or Kiev...it sucks! I've seen Sting when I was like 10 with my parents, and I went to see moloko a year ago. It was the most amaaaaayyyyzing experience. Loved it to death.

I really want to attend an American Music Club concert that'll be a few hours from here next month. That'd be one the highlights of my life, I'm sure.

Last nite: Morrissey!!!

I love that man!!! The show was really incredible. I felt like a little school girl, I almost cried I was so happy to finally see the man who sang me to sleep in my teen age years.

And for extra eye candy the band was all in kilts....
