70s
I think the 70s were the most famous decade for truly stomach turning songs, but then again the celine dion & lou bega tracks above are pretty horrid.

'billy dont be a hero' who did this?
'me & you & a dog named boo' lobo
'the night chicago died' paper lace
'da doo ron ron' shaun cassidy [his brother got all the talent]
'patches' [dont know who did it but may be worst song ever]
'ruby dont take your love to town' kenny rogers & first edition
'the night the lights went out in georgia' vicki laurence [actually THIS might be the worst song ever
everything the osmonds did except 1 bad apple. jimmy osmond takes special bad taste award.
'only women bleed' alice cooper not such a bad song until you know whats its about.
'at 17' janis ian OK THIS is the WORST song ever!!
'sylvia's mother' dr hook & medicine show - OK THAT IS THE Worst song ever!!
'spiders & snakes' jim stafford, OK THAT might be the worst.
'cats in the cradle' harry chapin- worst song that you still hear every week
'bad leroy brown' jim croce- ok not such a bad song, just bad for croce.
'joy to the world' 3 dog night. a popular song that always seemed dumb.
'my skate key/brand new rollerskates' by melanie- OK this might be the worst song ever
'shannon' by henry gross- about his dog drowning.
'bohemian rhapsody' queen, not a favourite of mine.
every song ever by reo speedwagon.

most of new kids except for step by step.
most of menudo
everything chicago has done since the 80s [peter cetera- OUCH!]

ditto for Celine Dion
all Kasey Chambers songs, with perhaps the exception of 'the captain'
YMCA by the Village people *shudders*
all music from Jon Bon Jovi and Def Lepard yuk yuk yuk!!
