^^ Such a good point. Of all the shows I've seen and of all the articles I've read about "the end" I haven't seen a single 'expert' explain the time zone difference.

Because I assume there is no logical explanation as the Mayans were obviously unaware (I assume?) of the scope of the Earth and would have been ignorant to the concept of differing time zones.

Watch the series "Life After People". A lot of things will continue after human extinction. Barring mechanical failures, Nuclear power plants could run for years and Hydro-Electric plants can run as long as water flows.

I LOOOOOVED that show it was kinda interesting & cool but I think they stop showing new episodes which is a shame cuz it was actually pretty entertaining without the doom & gloom the "nostradomus effect" had..

Also, there's a new show premiering on NatGeo called "Dooms Day Preppers" which looks pretty funny but informative

Let me add then that I think we humans will all still be here in the usual numbers & celebrating Christmas (or whatever ...) this coming December
