Alison Goldfrapp blasts Madonna

I use blast for lack of a better term for being appropriate and absolutely true!

I was saying this immediately when I heard her very boring Confessions...

I'm just happy to hear an artist like Alison finally raise this point rather than another praise comment for Madge. It's about time really.

hmm..yes- well hasn't EVERYONE said this about madonna from the very beginning of her career...

i mean...she basically stole her original image from cyndi lauper...

OMG...you are so right about that!

You know,I know Alison's really probably not the first to actually feel this way but isn't it quite rare for artists to actually speak about this outloud? Especially,since Madge is apparently a big fan of Goldfrapp's music. It's almost as if people become jaded by her because she has such an aura being so famous? I think in that Alison saying that,it really shows the character of a true artist. People of creative fields tend to be a rather offended by commercialism and money....and when somebody like Madonna who copies it's extremely insulting.

And considering I have never and will never like Madonna, I like it when anyone speaks against her. In a non-childish way, of course.

Only thing I've ever read/heard about her that I actually liked is that she lets her kids watch minimal tv (if any).

This makes me sad..... as I am a huge lover of Madonna and I REALLY love Goldfrapp.

Actually....this doesn't make me sad at all. This is nothing new. Madonna has been blasted for YEARS. So what. She's still here. She still amazes me.

I think people don't speak negative things about madonna because she's like this big pop legend that can do no wrong.......her last couple of albums have been horrible in regards to originality so I definately agree with goldfrapp on that one.

I thought she stole her original image from Marilyn Monroe... then moved on to Cyndi Lauper...
