Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone ''got close'' during filming 'The Amazing Spider-Man' and have since been ''hooking up''.

Andrew Garfield is dating Emma Stone.

The British actor - who split with girlfriend of three years Shannon Woodward in May - became close to the flame-haired beauty on the set of 'The Amazing Spider-Man' in which they both star and they have since been "hooking up".

A source told Us Weekly: "They haven't gone public, but he's told his friends. They got close during filming and have been hooking up."

The 27-year-old star - who plays the titular character in the forthcoming Marvel comic movie prequel - broke up with the 'Raising Hope' actress after filming on 'The Amazing Spider-Man' took up so much of his time.

A source said: "They drifted apart as Andrew got deeper into filming 'The Amazing Spider-Man'; he literally never saw her.

"Shannon is telling people they're on a break but they haven't spoken to each other in weeks."

However, he has previously insisted his life is dull and he would never change because of his new-found Hollywood fame.

He said: "There's nothing interesting about my life.

"Like, I'm not stumbling out of clubs at four in the morning, you know? So there's absolutely no reason for that to happen."

I really thought they would of started these type of stories during filming. In her Elle interview they said Emma had broken up with her boyfriend as well. I can see them together.

Meh...I don't see him moving on so fast after breaking up with Shannon.
And the same goes for Emma. Didn't her and Kieran just break up?

Plus, both of them just seem like friends. There's no "sexual" vibe there.

they did? i thought she just refused to talk about him, when did they break up?

this is a good combo, both of them are great actors, but they don't seem like they're up for a media play, we'll see...

I don't know how solid this is, I surely thought she was with Jason Sudeikis. Left with him at the Met Gala and the SNL Finale but I guess things could change, and it wasn't just a "friendly" leave either. After SNL she was sort of hiding behind him while holding his hand like she didn't want to be noticed.

that's weird, i remember reading that same exact sentence but without the former part.
