I'm saddened by the news... She was so over the top and outrageous but never mean spirited or unkind. At the height of her Guess days, she was crazy beautiful.

I'm very shocked and saddened by the news, may she rest in peace and lots of blessings for her baby. Def. a media icon of our time, she'll be missed. I still can't believe it.

At the same time the body can only cope with so much stress. Just giving BIRTH is insanely stressful for a mother. Add on top of that a child DYING. Then add on paparazzi 24/7. Then add on about 10 different lawsuits. And then add on lots of travel and obviously a bit of a fondness for certain substances.

And you have one body that is on the verge of collapse.

Can't say I'm surprised....though I highly doubt Stern is involved. Anna was just doing wayy too much stuff to her body and considering that her son died young, maybe there are just weak genes in the family.

I wonder who's scrambling to make the Anna Nicole Smith made-for-tv-movie first

I feel guilty for even saying this (and I havn't read the whole thread so it could have already been said) but you know there will be a legal battle over the baby, assuming her late husband's fortune would have been left to Danilynn(sp?)

it kind of makes me sick to think in retrospect how much the media was constantly on her back....even after all of the tragedy the end of last year regarding her son's death. no person deserves that kind of stress. especially a grieving mother. whatever we may think of her life and how tumoltuous it was,it's definitely very sad and completely shock-laden. i never expected that despite everything she's gone through,that it would ultimately end in an untimely death.

This is all too much! I can still remember when I use to watch the Anna Nicole Smith show, it was my guilty pleasure, sigh. RIP dear.
