Avril has a pretty good voice, and I generally like her music. However, I have seen a few interviews with her lately, and she just acts like a spoiled bratty teenager instead of a married woman in her 20s. What she said about Britney wasn't all that bad, but regardless, this chick needs to shut her piehole. And at the end of the day, Britney might have a few screws loose, but she is still a heck of a lot more famous than Avril!

My sisters know a guy who went to High School with Avril. He said she was a total GAP kid - preppy in high school - all this "I'm a punk" stuff is totally contrived. I think she had a rep for using drugs as well.

As much as I don't like Britney, she is far, far more famous than Avril and under much more scrutiny than her as well.

Yeah - my friend's aunt taught Avril in high school. Apparently she was originally marketed as a country singer before launched as a pop - no, sorry "punk" artist.

Avril's a total Britney/Paris Hilton wannabe these days. The dancing in the music video? The pure blonde hair? Attending fashion shows, carrying designer handbags?

I'm not saying that people can't change from the time they are 17 to 22, but it is quite obvious she is a big phony. Notice how she dropped the Chanel outfits and went back to skulls and other Hot Topic-esque wardrobe when she had an album to promote. I just wish she would admit it, instead of trying to convince everyone she is a hardcore rockstar.

Lastly, she sounds horrible live. When her Let Go (1st album) first came out, she did a mall tour thing. Nobody knew who she was back then. And wow, she sounded SO. BAD. If you sound that bad live, you may as well lip-sync.
