IMO the best albums rarely make the billboards
I mean Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Avril Lavigne can't produce best albums.
Where's In Rainbows? Sound of Silver? Neon Bible? Kala? etc...
We're talking about the young west-indian girl who constantly dresses half naked, jiggles around in front of the camera with a big pout and sings aggressive lyrics right? Or is there a different M.I.A I don't know about? She looks like a bratz doll.
I don't think it's fair to judge music based on what a musician looks like

i gotta agree with you! if we were to judge music on the way the musician looks then there's a LOT of musicians we'd all avoid! you just have to ignore their looks (if it bugs you) and appreciate their music!
Blackout is just as good as any other Britney Spears album. I think it's a great album for clubbing/dancing. Brit might be messed up but her producers etc aren't.

Yep, it's really a killer pop/dance album. I love it, but I still wouldn't call it the best album of the year.
that just goes to show that real music fans do not waste their time at Billboard.com.
MTV is actually has been doing some news article based on internet music and how popularity is now measured because of the new technologies.

I don't mean to bash anyone else's taste BUT I think that list is an absolute joke. There are so many albums out there that would put these "top ten" to shame.
