YES YES YES!

Glamour (which was from karin) didn't use often a model for the cover (monthly magazine). The only models I remember in the past 3 years i was a member were Elianne Smit, Nimue Smit. Doutzen Kroes (2x), Kim Noorda, Alex Wek. And reprints from Lara Stone, Heidi Klum. BUT they always have great eds inside with models.

I'm hoping for models (just like dutch elle, they always have great modelcovers!!!!!!!), I think if they do want it to be big overseas, then they should use models. I doubt if for example england knows who lieke van lexmond is.

As for de wereld draait door.
Lara Stone: Karin said she hopes that Lara will in her magazine, but karin is aware of the fact that she need to earn lara in her magazine. Which I can understand..
I think it's different for Doutzen, she also fronts covers for dutch marie claire, glamour (no reprint) elle.
They are also saying that they will do all the eds, covers etc. by themself so no reprints from us vogue (at least not at the beginning).

For the Dutch people or people that understand dutch: http://omroep.vara.nl/media/82096

I really hope they don't put celebrities on the cover... Just models and high fashion please, we already have Grazia and such!

Nooo..

Personally, I think Dutch magazines are awful, they lack taste, originality and are just boring, and now there's going to be a Dutch Vogue?

I already feel the humiliation.

I don't know if there's THAT much difference with foreign magazines.

Many of them also suffer from an advertisement, advertorial and celebrity covers overload, like our Dutch ones.

I just hope it's not anything similar to the new Fashionista...

...replacing our good old Dutch teenage mag Fancy.

Both are cheesy teenage mags, but the difference is still huge.

But I guess the Dutch Vogue won't look like Fashionista (which is, in fact, a kind of a teen Grazia).

LOl, my dutch husband just laughed in my face when i said, all excited, that there was going to be a dutch Vogue, he asked if they will have a section reserved for sneakers and fleeces.

Yesterday, there was an announcement Dutch Avantgarde is going to stop.

I see a connection between that news and the fact Dutch Vogue is in the making. Although they say there are just not enough people reading it, and not enough advertisement incomes.

It's getting busy in the world of Dutch fashion glossies.

That sounds similar to how I imagine a Canadian edition of Vogue being.

Did La Vie En Rose fold? I have one issue (provided by good ol' iperlchen! ) and it didn't look bad at all, a bit reminiscent of Eurowoman. I don't know what makes people so hopeless about this , they have a great bunch of models, great photographers (Viviane Sassen, Marcel van der Vlugt, Jan Welters).. just because they're all spread out in other capitals it doesn't mean that they don't exist and if they do, that they can't actually create something together, and I think that's what's great about a publication as money-oriented as Vogue, that they are the ones with the financial means to bring all their local talent together, combine it with foreign one and project it on an international scale, so everyone that participates in the process [down to the reader] wins.

La Vie En Rose seized to exist almost 3 years ago now sadly. It was the first sign of how Grazia and Glamour like glossies are taking over the Dutch womens interest magazine world, so I am getting more and more curious how this edition of Vogue will turn out.
