Evangeline Lilly Needs To Get over Herself

Evangeline Lilly is living proof that not all prayers can be answered.

She's revealed what she used to hope and wish for as a teenager, but it seems that God must have had his earphones in when she was asking.

And her wish?

To be ugly.

Anyone who's seen Lost will know that Evangeline is nothing but gorgeous.
But, according to the Daily Mirror, the actress used to pray to God for a less-pleasant face to ward off the opposite sex:

"I cried myself to sleep wishing I was ugly because men leered and disrespected me."

Now that she's a highly-paid and successful TV star, we wonder if she's still praying for a mug like a bag of spanners...

^ I read that too. She has said that MANY times. It sounds like my sister when she says she has no female friends because "she's too pretty". I wanna say, "Honey, get over yourself. You ain't all that!"

Has anyone else seen those 1-800 commercials that evangeline used to be on? The dating service ones for Toronto locals? I remembered those commercials when I first saw her on Lost. I was like "OMG IT'S THAT GIRL!". Everytime the commercial came on I would envy how gorgeous she was! And now, a year or two later - she's a TV star. I'll try to get photos of the commercial.

i hate when people complain about being "too pretty" there are more important things for people to worry about in the world, focus of those if you need something to complain about

That's the way people think when they're 16. Time to grow up. To me she's just average and looks like about 5 celebrities who are cuter than her anyway.

And everyone knows that men who leer, leer at ugly and old women just as much as they leer at anybody.

Haha...she was on Live Links. From what I've seen she's pretty, but certainly not anything special. Even if what she's said is all true and people just couldn't act normally around her because she was oh so beautiful, that's just the kind of thing you keep to yourself.
