It really drives the price up when they say they aren't releasing any pics. Or when they give exclusives.

If they give the money to charity then why not? I would rather own the way my child's image is portrayed(because let's face it Halle Berry's kid is going to be hunted for a photo), than let some pap run after me and my newborn on the street and then sell the pic for a million.

It's not right that a baby should be subjected to this but it's the high cost of a celebrity life.

What I see are other A-Listers like Cate Blanchette, Naomi Watts who didn't do that. And look at them they are doing just fine. If anything, in my opinion the celebs who do put their new borns on covers are seeking more attention.
And besides Halle seems like the Blanchette and Watts type, wants her personal life personal as much as she can keep it that way. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie...well, no need to go any further.

It's true that other A-listers are doing well, but I do think there is a higher degree of interest for the babies of such beauties as Berry and Jolie. It's like these kids are science projects or something. People want to see just how gorgeous they will turn out. There are celebs that are hunted more than others by the paps so they probably figure-Why don't I beat them to the punch, and get it over with?
