CHICAGO -- Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested in downtown Chicago early Sunday after allegedly refusing to leave a Walgreens.
LaBeouf, 21, who came to fame on the Disney Channel's "Even Stevens" and recently starred in box-office hits "Disturbia" and "Transformers," was arrested about 2:25 a.m. at the store at 757 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago police spokesman Marcel Bright said.
A security guard summoned police after LaBeouf -- who stars in the upcoming Indiana Jones sequel -- refused several commands to leave the store, Bright said.
The guard signed a complaint against the actor, who was cited on a misdemeanor count of trespassing.
LaBeouf was taken to the Near North police district and posted bail about 7 a.m., Bright said.
His court date is Nov. 28.
Gotta love this story... getting arrested in a Walgreens? How sterotypically white trash is that!

It doesn't go into detail in the article, but from what I understand he was "intoxicated" and disturbing some of the customers...

The only reason this is doubly-annoying is because all summer when he was having his success he kept saying how he wouldn't act stupid and blah blah blah...it didn't take long. All those Disney kids go down in flames eventually...LOL
Thing is, I don't really view this as on the same level as Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears- he wasn't arrested with a DUI or caught with a kilo. Tresspassing is one of the most misdemeanor crimes of them all, and I know pleanty of teenagers who have done worse things than trespassing. That said, this isn't his first altercation with the police (they had to go to his house when a neighbor reported his fight with a man who called his mother a name). I get the feeling we have another Sean Penn on our hands- a talented, albeit hot headed young actor.
