I don't know if the BI is true or not, but the only plausible guess for #1 is Kate Winslet, which would make Rachel the other most likely party in the BI. However, it doesn't quite add up because as many pointed out, they were together at Venice and I do too recall something about Kate encouraging Rachel on the nude scenes. Still, I guess it's not impossible.

The only other A list actresses at the Emmys were Gwyneth (not separated, as far as we know), Drew (divorced her husband a long time ago, so probably not it), Katie Holmes (A as far as name recognition goes, but not separated, as far as we know).

For #3, I can't really think of anybody looking 'harried', whatever that must mean. Maybe Emily Blunt though? The only person who would even remotely fit.

1. Mildred Pierce is a mini-series, not a movie. And it's pretty obvious ERW adores Kate.

4. Steve Carrell just finished the Office... and he is pretty B-list, on the verge of A-list (needs some more money-making films at the box office first).

With regards to #1, I think it's important to note that at the original source the "A list actress" was originally B+. When people were speculating Kate and ERW, it was commented that Kate was well and truly an A-lister... the blind was then edited to say A list.

[BlindGossip] This female star has certainly had her ups and downs. Her career has gone up and down and has expanded over more than one creative medium. She has dated at least three or four famous guys, has been married to and divorced from another celebrity, and is a tabloid staple. Depending on who you talk to and which day it is, she is either gorgeous or ugly. Well, we know one thing for sure: she is pregnant! She is seven weeks along, and you should expect the announcement within the next couple of weeks. *edit no weight discussion *Both she and her partner are very happy about the pregnancy. Oh, and they will be getting married, although the wedding will now happen after the baby is born.

i dunno. i think this was based on the speculation of her visiting hospitals recently despite the fact she was visiting her mother, plus there's been also "talk" that she wants kids, but that talk always comes through whenever she's in a new relationship.

i don't think its jen. of course this is just my personal opinion but: a) i don't think the 'lows' of her career are that significant to really be emphasised in a BI.
b) career spanning over different mediums. i think acting, producing etc all fall under 'film'. wouldn't other mediums be singing, dancing...
c) it would have said 'actress' (rather than 'star') as that is her number one profession.

Later, he hit on several women in front of his wife and told the various women that he and his wife were separating anyway. He called out to a princess in her 30's by saying hey chick. Obnoxious does not even begin to describe his behavior.
